Global Research on

eDNA in Groundwaters

A worldwide collaboration to advance groundwater conservation and document groundwater biodiversity through environmental DNA

About
Who is GReG?

GReG is an international research initiative documenting 45 high profile groundwater biodiversity hotspots from 17 countries across Europe, Australia, Asia, Africa and North America.

This first global study of its kind, GReG aims to connect groundwater researchers to standardise and improve environmental DNA application in groundwaters. See below for our consortium values.

GReG values

GReG is an apolitical academic consortium. Our code of practice seeks to promote a safe, inclusive, and scientifically productive environment, regardless of gender, geographic provenance, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, and physical appearance. Since a community where people feel uncomfortable or threatened is neither healthy nor productive, GReG prohibits intimidating, threatening, or harassing conduct. These values are founded in the Codes of Conduct of the International Society on Subterranean Biology (ISSB) and primary funder, Curtin University.
